Alaska

Our field sites in Alaska are in Denali National Park and Preserve in central Alaska and  the Mendenhall Glacier in S.E. Alaska (near Juneau).  We are studying microbial community and ecosystem succession at both of these sites.  This work (especially at Mendenhall Glacier) has been done in conjunction with Diana Nemergut and her lab group.
